Why upgrade?

Starter chain failure is a common weak point in these motors. The stock chains tend to stretch over time. Once they elongate, slack develops in the system, leading to uneven loading and accelerated wear—eventually resulting in a broken chain.

• Opening the throttle while starting (adds extra load)
• Auto-decompression re-engaging as RPM drops on shutdown
