This reinforced decompression spring is 70% stronger, designed specifically for Zongshen 190–212cc and Daytona Anima 150cc + engines. It reduces the load on the starting chain by preventing the inertia weight from swinging before the engine starts. Additionally, it mitigates kickbacks during engine shutdown.
Key Features:
-
Original Spring vs. 70% Stronger Spring:
- 9 coils → 10 coils
- 0.2 mm wire thickness → 0.3 mm wire thickness
Installation Notes:
-
Adjustments Due to Length:
The stronger spring is 1 mm longer than the original, which may cause the inertia weight to jam. If this occurs:- Straighten the Retention Plate: Carefully adjust the retention plate using a vise attached to the engine.
- Alternatively, remove a portion of the end of the inertia weight.
-
Spring Positioning:
- Ensure the spring is correctly positioned to prevent breakage.
- The weight must move freely without excessive play. Improper movement will prevent the arm from interrupting the cam roller.

Nice up grade to the flimsy factory decomp spring, zero kick back issues so far but that being said I installed the original spring before the first start up. From what I read most people have to bend the retaining tab for the decompression mechanism but mine fit with no modifications required and decomp weight moved freely.Figured these were cheap enough I pick up 2 and have 1 for a spare.
